Why wait for Hollywood to make the movie you've always wanted to see? Just make it yourself. I've previously written about fan-made videos and more great ones continue to be created every day.
Batman: Puppet Master generated a lot of buzz, showing what happened between The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, starring the Riddler, Edward Nigma, with cameos by other Batman characters. Written by Chris Wiltz and directed by Bryan Nest, it's an excellent little production with some scenes that look and feel as if they came straight off the big screen.
Then there's the fun Batgirl: Spoiled and the intense Batman: The Last Laugh. Or how about the atmospheric Batman: City of Scars? They might not be as polished as professional productions, but they're still loads of fun, because they're all heart.
Gotham City isn't the only place that inspired fans to think up new stories and make motion pictures out of them. We've also seen new stories on planet Tattooine in the Star Wars-inspired Troops or The Lord of the Rings' Middle-Earth in The Hunt for Gollum.
There have been fan films that drew inspiration from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Casey Jones), Spider-man (The Green Goblin's Last Stand), or video games (Mortal Kombat: Rebirth).
They may all have been made by amateurs, but they deliver.
