Frances Bean Cobain had a troubled childhood with the passing of her father Kurt Cobain when she was a toddler and a challenging relationship with her mother Courtney Love.
But last year Frances, 19, received the proceeds from a multi-million dollar trust fund set up after her father’s death in 1994 and has invested in an amazing Hollywood Hills home.
Frances bought the pad in July 2011 for $1.825 million.
It has to be noted that the luxurious home is 3,350 square feet and boasts 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The Spanish-style house was built in 1930 and designed by Carl Jules Weyl. It still retains a lot of the original architectural and decorative features.
The hand-forged iron work and decorative tiles gives the place a unique feel and the stained and leaded glass windows are perfect for letting in the California sunshine.
With hand stenciled wood beams and vintage light fixtures and hardware the house is perfect for the teen’s bohemian lifestyle.
Other features include a formal living room with fireplace, vaulted ceilings and pane-free French doors that open to a large tiled terrace.
The home also includes a media room and dining room that opens into an upgraded kitchen with Shaker-style cabinetry, commercial stainless appliances, white subway tile back splashes, a pantry and breakfast room.
The master bedroom on the second floor includes a small private terrace and a tiled bathroom with soaking tub, shower and generous closet spaces with a separate dressing area.
What do you think of Frances' home?
It seems like a good investment, isn't it?
