First Look at the New ARROW

I have a splitting headache tonight, so I'll keep this short and sweet. The first image of the new TV show, Arrow, based on DC Entertainment's Green Arrow character, has been released.  I've included a cropped detail shot above and the full image below.

Promotional shots like this are important for marketing, even if they don't tell us much about the actual show yet. They can pique audience interest, as with the first glimpses of the new Amazing Spider-man or the highly anticipated Man of Steel, or they can backfire, such as the cheesy Wonder Woman pilot that eventually was rejected.

Based on this picture alone, it appears as if the CW network is borrowing a bit from the hoodie-costume look of the Smallville version of the hero, but upgrading it to a darker, grittier feel.  We shall wait and see if it's a hit or a miss.
