Master carver Ray Villafane, two-time winner of The Food Network Challenge, has created another masterpiece. His latest artwork is a bunch of zombies emerging from the largest pumpkin in the world. He carved it this past weekend at The New York Botanical Garden.
Here's what the mammoth gourd looked like before the artist took a stab at it (no pun intended). The growers, Jim Bryson and his 12-year-old daughter Kelsey, are sitting in front of it. They appeared last Friday on Live with Regis and Kelly and they were very excited to see Ray carve their record-breaking pumpkin on Saturday and Sunday.
Here's a closeup of the carved pumpkin. Spooky!
Michael Anthony Natiello, creator of the Great Jack-o-Lantern Blaze, will carve the final giant pumpkin on Halloween weekend. Don't miss it!
