Actor Jesse Metcalfe

I've been eagerly awaiting TNT's new version of the TV show Dallas, and one of its highlights is its stellar cast, with original stars from the original series returning to their famous roles alongside new talented young performers playing the next generation. One of those young actors is Jesse Metcalfe who plays the part of Christopher Ewing.

My wife actually met Jesse a number of times when they both attended NYU. She dated his roommate freshman year. I've enjoyed hearing her stories about when they listened to the soundtrack of William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet together, or when she was telling him about her MTV internship and he mentioned to her that he had a soap opera audition coming up, and lo and behold he ended up on Passions.

He's been on Smallville and Desperate Housewives, but I think Dallas could be his real breakthrough, taking him to a new level. I wish him (and the show) all the success in the world.
