I mentioned before that one of my favorite lyrics by Van Halen is "Sleep and dream, that's all I crave." I had every intention of going to bed early tonight, but no such luck. A long day at work, followed by teaching a night class, culminating with a two-year-old who doesn't want to go to sleep, and here I am writing my daily blog at my usual late evening time instead of at a decent hour.
I wish there were more hours in the day, but I have no regrets. I'd cram in even more activities if I could. Life is a gift worth experiencing to the fullest.
Tomorrow, back to work, then take one of my sisters to the airport, then come home and hopefully cook a nice meal (continuing my culinary adventures), then write another blog entry, then start grading my students' midterm assignments, then get some shut-eye.
When I have some extra time, I'll dabble with my other projects that await me -- my screenplays and stageplays, my book in development, finish designing my Web site, if the weather is nice maybe go bike riding, prepare to direct a staged reading, all while running on a few hours of slee-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
