Finally nearly 2,500 people have joined the March Special Olympics, surpassing the expectations of the organizers. The event, organized by Special Olympics, ACELL Federation, Dincat and Cocarmi, which celebrates 14 years this year, is held annually to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and is one of the most popular marches in the city. The march ended at Palau Blaugrana which held the festive event.
The emotional highlight of the morning was the memory-tribute to the Special Olympic Games in Barcelona and Vilanova '92. A video of that meeting was played, which followed eight international sporting events, and in 2012 will be 20 years, launched the most anticipated moment: to revive the legendary scene of the Games. This time, Marian Aguilera, who in '92 received the Olympic flame from Greece on the beach of Empúries, presented the Games flame to the renowned archer Antonio Rebollo, who shot his arrow and hit the cauldron for the Special Olympic Games .
